Jon Miller is a principal in RSM US LLP’s state and local tax practice located in Charlotte, North Carolina. He focuses on sales and use tax. Jon has direct responsibility for sales and use tax automation and consulting services. He also consults with clients on a wide range of sales and use tax issues.
Jon has over 31 years of experience in state and local tax including over 21 years in public accounting. Jon has addressed sales and use tax issues for clients in the technology, health care, manufacturing, telecommunications, banking and retail industries.
Jon has a particular interest in indirect tax system implementations and statistical sampling. He has performed tax compliance process reviews and sales and use tax system reviews. He also has experience with sales and use tax compliance and state tax nexus studies. In addition, Jon has worked on voluntary disclosure matters and performed tax audit defense and mitigation work.
