John Harder is a partner and is the consulting operations leader for RSM US LLP. John directs operations for the consulting line of business and is responsible for operational effectiveness and supporting the execution of consulting’s strategic priorities. John has more than 30 years of professional services experience and is based in the McLean, Virginia office.
Prior to John taking on his new role as the consulting line of business operations leader, he held a variety of leadership roles. Most recently, he led the managed technology services practice, which provides a wide range of services, including managed IT, outsourced accounting, managed application services and more. In this role, he drove results for clients by aligning business strategy, process and technology optimization to enhance performance and increase efficiency.
John has diverse experience serving clients ranging from startup organizations to Fortune 500 companies. His services include project leadership and management, evaluation and development of technology strategy, assessment and improvement of business processes and implementation of technology solutions.
An RSM partner since 2012, John is responsible for consulting’s overall operations, ensuring that the firm has the right team to deliver and grow the business. He is driven by client success and by helping his colleagues grow and develop. He serves as a mentor to RSM professionals, advising them on how to achieve their career goals. Before joining RSM, John spent over 20 years in professional services, including time with a Big Four and regional public accounting firm.
John participates in the firm’s culture, diversity and inclusion efforts as a member of the Family First and Generations employee network groups. Outside the firm, he is involved with the Joey Pizzano Memorial Fund to support special-needs kids with water safety programs.
In addition to enjoying fishing, hunting and golfing, John is an amateur photographer and taught himself Photoshop to optimize photos of his four children playing sports.
