Jodi has more than 16 years of accounting experience providing assurance and advisory services for private equity-backed companies. She works primarily with companies that are post-close in their life cycle to help prepare them for an audit. She has specific experience auditing complex areas such as revenue recognition and business combinations. She also works closely with the management of middle market companies to help solve technical challenges and identify practical strategies for process improvements throughout the organization.
As a former captain of her Division I lacrosse team at the University of Richmond—where she led the team to win its first conference title—Jodi is motivated by being a member of a winning team like RSM’s TAC services. She appreciates seeing her clients grow and succeed because of the work her team performs. She is a careful listener who approaches each engagement without a rush to solve, but instead to truly understand the issues her clients face.
Her roles in sports leadership throughout her life have taught her to think critically about complex situations, collaborate with clients and teams, and seek to understand how people are motivated. As on the playing field, she understands that some people respond to a quiet talk on the sidelines, while others don’t. Jodi’s goal is to try to understand the motivations of her clients and colleagues and approach those with sensitivity to bring a dynamic and collaborative team to every engagement.
Jodi is involved with the firm’s culture, diversity and inclusion efforts. She fuels her drive to help develop RSM’s women leaders through her membership in STAR, the firm’s employee network group connecting employees interested in women’s work issues. She is also part of the next generation enterprise account leader class to help grow and develop client relationships.
A leader both on and off the field, Jodi appreciates the diversity of her colleagues and teammates and loves to be part of a winning team.
