In addition to his leadership role, Dominic serves as the RSM global financial services advisory leader and Carolinas consulting leader and contributes to RSM’s financial services executive leadership team. He is dedicated to helping clients strengthen control environments and navigate complex regulatory requirements.


Experience

Dominic has dedicated more than 25 years to helping financial institutions strengthen their risk management, compliance and operational controls. As a firm partner and leader of RSM’s national financial services risk advisory practice, Dominic works closely with clients in banking, capital markets and insurance, guiding them through complex regulatory requirements and control enhancements.

Throughout his career, Dominic has led projects focused on improving information technology control structures, change-management practices, computer operations, system development life cycle and business continuity planning. He is passionate about providing practical recommendations to management, enabling organizations to build robust control environments and align with industry standards.

Dominic’s extensive experience includes designing and optimizing Sarbanes-Oxley programs, supporting internal and external audits, and assisting with regulatory remediation for a diverse range of clients—from large multinational banks to regional financial institutions and service providers. He has successfully managed over 26 third-party assurance engagements, including SOC 1, SOC 2, attestations and agreed-upon procedures, covering mortgage servicing, commercial lending, brokerage operations, mutual fund processing, 401(k) plan recordkeeping and cybersecurity.

In his role as a lead global assurance partner, Dominic has overseen quarterly and annual financial statement audits, as well as Sarbanes-Oxley and regulatory internal control attestations for major banks, with a focus on global markets, investment banking, wealth and asset management, broker-dealer, retail banking and commercial banking. He has also guided clients through large acquisitions, providing transition risk assessments and recommendations for integrating business processes and IT environments.

Dominic is committed to advancing the profession. He was selected as Financial Services Digital Accelerator Leader (Auditor of the Future) for the southeast region, collaborating with firm leadership on workforce development in data, analytics, artificial intelligence, automation, blockchain and design thinking to prepare teams for the evolving demands of the audit profession.
