Cole Carter is a senior manager with RSM US LLP’s assurance practice. He joined the firm in 2015.
In May 2026, Cole was selected as a senior analyst in RSM’s cutting-edge Industry Eminence Program, which positions its analysts to understand, forecast and communicate economic, business and technology trends shaping the industries the firm serves. His focus as an analyst in the program is on the financial services industry. He is based in Denver.
Cole provides audit and consulting services to a variety of entities. He has practiced public accounting for over 10 years, with a primary focus in the insurance industry. He has experience with nearly every type of insurance product, including property and casualty, life, annuity, health, and title lines of business.
In his current role, Cole works closely with clients, partners and staff to ensure that each audit is performed in accordance with the team’s plan and that clients are kept informed. Cole consults with audit and client team members to resolve audit findings, delivers advice regarding complex accounting matters, and ensures that audits are performed as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Cole is heavily involved in RSM’s audit innovation groups and takes pride in providing his clients with solutions that embrace the use of current technology and tools whenever possible.
