Chris has a unique tax background because of his experience working at both public accounting firms and the Indiana Tax Court as a law clerk. During Chris’ time at the Indiana Tax Court, he focused on state income tax, sales and use, and property tax issues. This experience allowed Chris to transition into a Big Four firm position, focusing on both federal and state and local tax issues where he is positioned to identify and address the various complex tax issues that his clients face. Chris currently focuses on areas including state income tax and ASC 740 issues, nexus analysis, and state tax planning. Chris has represented clients in audits involving state tax issues and assisted clients in obtaining voluntary disclosure agreements. Additionally, Chris focuses on sales and use tax, and general state and local tax consulting.
