Austin Walsh is a management consulting director with RSM US LLP based in Chicago. He has over nine years of experience in operational/process enhancement, project management and execution, reporting and analysis, and organizational development/transformation. He possesses strong experience in finance back-office transformation, process redesign, technology optimization/implementation and complex project management. As a part of RSM’s chief financial officer advisory and private equity industry practice, Austin aims to apply his strong understanding of key business/finance functions such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and plan-to-act systems, coupled with his technology experience, to recommend and design business transformation opportunities, improving operational delivery and efficiency.

Austin is comfortable operating within large organizations where stakeholder involvement and data and system infrastructure are complex. He has experience working with several company stakeholders, including but not limited to accounting, finance, customer operations, sales, IT, and corporate development and strategy. Prior to joining RSM, Austin was a financial analyst with Exelon Corporation as part of their finance and credit/risk management organization. Additionally, he focused on managing large-scale cost transformation initiatives across a seven-subsidiary enterprise, following a merger. His experience includes organizational consolidation, continuous improvement/operational efficiency initiatives and vendor management.
