Andrew (Andy) Colson is the Pacific Northwest tax leader for RSM US LLP. He is also a state and local tax partner. He has experience in all areas of state and local taxes including nexus and e-commerce, as well as state tax audits and administrative resolution of tax controversies.
RSM US LLP’s Andy Colson specializes in tax planning in the states of Washington, Idaho, Utah and Oregon, including development of apportionment methodologies for income tax. He also focuses on Washington excise taxes and the utilization of tax credits and incentives.
Andy has represented clients before the Washington State Department of Revenue, Washington State Board of Tax Appeals, the Idaho State Tax Commission, the Utah State Tax Commission and the Magistrate Division of the Oregon Tax Court in matters of nexus, application of exemptions, Washington Business and Occupation tax matters, unitary filings and various excise taxes, and sales and use tax matters.
