South Meadow Ventures, LLC, formerly Nova Natural Toys & Crafts, was founded in 2001 with a single consumer catalog title: Nova Natural Toys & Crafts. Nova Natural Toys & Crafts is committed to wholesome play with heirloom quality, nondisposable toys. In 2015, Nova Natural acquired the established consumer catalog titles Chinaberry and Isabella, continuing its mission to provide quality products that are carefully curated and personally tested. In 2016, Nova Natural Toys & Crafts changed its name to South Meadow Ventures to reduce confusion between the parent company and its brands. The Solution
When South Meadow Ventures acquired two new brands (Chinaberry and Isabella) in addition to its existing brand, Nova Natural Toys & Crafts, the company needed a good solution to run all three businesses consistently even though they all required individual domains and websites. RSM has supported the e-commerce initiatives for South Meadow Ventures in the past, as they utilize the NetSuite platform for running their ERP and e-commerce back office.
Utilizing their original site, NovaNatural.com as a template, RSM developed a strategy to create two new sites that would provide consistent experiences for customers of each brand, and feed into a single back office for seamless management by a single entity. All of these sites were developed on NetSuite’s SuiteCommerce Advanced platform, so they’re fully integrated to a single back-office out-of-the-box, and were designed with a focus on fully responsive modern design and ease of use. Some features implemented by the RSM team include tabbed item pages, zoom, alternate item view, quick view, gift wrap, Facebook like and comments for parent items and shop the look, featured item in top navigation, drop down navigation, and more. RSM also provided a guided approach to executing on the platform cutover, ensuring that the search engine optimization (SEO) would be maintained through the transition.
