Cybersecurity best practices and considerations for the public sector
RECORDED WEBCAST |
The Department of Homeland Security has designated October as National Cybersecurity Awareness month. While you may not think state and local government entities are a major target for cyberattacks, unfortunately they are just as likely to be targets as private sector organizations.
The 2016 NetDiligence cyber claims report shows that 30 percent of breaches were caused by insiders (employees or contractors). Of that 30 percent, 77 percent were unintentional. They were accidents. No matter how much technology you implement, it’s critical that employees understand security risks and how to identify phishing attacks.
Join RSM to better understand the latest cybersecurity threats and how to build a security awareness training program.
Learning objectives:
- Identify the latest cybersecurity threats and associated damages
- Identify best practices to step up your security posture and improve early detection processes to minimize damages in the event of a breach
- Prepare for discussions with key stakeholders regarding your organization’s potential vulnerabilities and risk management strategies
