Session 1: Managing risk, resilience and responsibility in the age of AI digital threats

By the end of this session, participants will be able to: 

  • Explain the evolving cybersecurity threat landscape and its implications for government organizations.
  • Identify key governance, risk management and oversight responsibilities for business and finance leaders.
  • Evaluate practical approaches to strengthening cybersecurity controls, user awareness and third-party risk management.

Session 2: Why trust Is the currency of digital government: A finance perspective on FedRAMP, GovRAMP and Identity

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  •  Describe why FedRAMP and GovRAMP exist and how they function as financial risk management mechanisms, not just cybersecurity checkboxes.
  • Distinguish between FedRAMP and GovRAMP in terms of scope, cost, reuse and impact on government procurement and operating budgets.
  • Explain what citizen identity means in a government context and why it is fundamentally different from commercial customer identity.
  • Connect identity and compliance investments to financial outcomes, such as fraud reduction, service efficiency, auditability and long-term cost containment.
  • Frame digital government initiatives in financial language, including risk reduction, reuse of assurance, avoided duplication and trust at scale.
