The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has launched its new Data Security Program (DSP), a sweeping regulatory regime stemming from Executive Order 14117 that dramatically alters the landscape for handling U.S. data. This program prohibits or severely restricts organizations from engaging in certain transactions—including common vendor, employment and data brokerage agreements—that involve transferring bulk sensitive U.S. personal data to "countries of concern" like China, Russia and Iran.
With a temporary "good-faith" enforcement safe harbor ending on July 8, 2025, the clock is ticking for organizations to understand their obligations. This webinar will cut through the complexity to explain the scope and impacted organizations, define what constitutes "bulk sensitive data," and clarify the new requirements for cybersecurity controls, due diligence and reporting.
Watch the recording to determine whether your data practices put your organization in the DOJ's crosshairs and to learn the critical first steps toward compliance.
What you’ll learn:
- What the DSP is and why it matters now
- How to assess your organization’s exposure and risk
- Immediate compliance obligations and cybersecurity safeguards to address
- Key compliance deadlines and enforcement milestones
- How to create a practical go-forward action plan to prepare for DSP enforcement
