During the day on the golf course, golf attire is suggested. For men long pants or dress shorts with a collared or mock-neck shirt is recommended. Women should wear a dress, long pants, capris or dress shorts along with a collared, sleeveless or mock-neck shirt. Comfortable shoes on the golf course are also suggested.

Both mornings and evenings will likely be chilly. The average high in the Sea Island area in November is 69° F and the average low is 57° F.

Book air travel

There are three airports that serve the Sea Island area: Jacksonville International Airport, Savannah International Airport and Brunswick Golden Isles Airport (serviced by Delta or private aircraft only).

Savannah International Airport and Jacksonville International Airport are equidistant from Sea Island. The average travel time by car is approximately one hour and 15 minutes. Brunswick Golden Isles Airport is approximately 30 minutes by car.

Air travel will be compliments of RSM provided you book through Travel Leaders. Nonrefundable airfare will be booked and should you need to make any changes to your itinerary, you will be asked to provide a credit card to cover any change fees or fare differences.

In order to book your air travel, please utilize The RSM Classic Travel Request form or call +1 800 701 5195 to speak to a group agent. If you choose to call, please reference that you will be attending The RSM Classic. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central time, Monday through Friday.

Please allow 48 hours for your tentative itinerary to be emailed for your confirmation. Email your itinerary back within 24 hours with your approval as airfares and availability are not guaranteed until the ticket is purchased.

To help manage the overall cost of airfare, all air travel reservations must be booked by Friday, Oct. 21.

Ground transportation

Airport transfers will be provided by Carey Transportation and can be scheduled for you based on your air travel itinerary. Specific details regarding where to meet the driver and other pertinent information will be forwarded to you with your hotel confirmation prior to your arrival.

Should you choose to rent a car, those charges will be your responsibility. You will need to book your rental independently.

If you will be driving to Sea Island in your own vehicle and will not require ground transportation, please let Heather Fueger know at heather.fueger@rsmus.com or at +1 980 233 4679.

During the week of The RSM Classic, several areas on the Sea Island Resort property will require parking passes in order to gain access. Parking passes will be required if you are staying at The Lodge at Sea Island only. Those parking passes will be provided to you upon check-in at the resort.

If you stay at The Cloister, you will not require a parking pass; however, due to the restrictions in parking around The Lodge, you will need to utilize the complimentary shuttle that will run between The Cloister and The Lodge when coming to the golf course daily for the tournament. You will not be permitted to park your vehicle near The Lodge.

Another component of the Pro-Am is the Draft Party which will be held on Tuesday evening, Nov. 15. The Draft Party gives all participants in the Pro-Am the opportunity to gather to see which golf course and PGA TOUR professional they will have the pleasure of playing golf with the following day. The Draft Party at The RSM Classic is hosted by tournament host Davis Love III and his wife, Robin. This will be an extraordinary experience and we are delighted you will be able to participate.

Optional golf

Optional golf will be offered the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Frederica Course. There will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun and golf will be followed by lunch.

If you wish to participate in the outing, you must register. You will not be added to the list without registration.

Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Should all spots be filled, we will begin a waiting list and spots will be filled as they become available.

Course Information:

Par 72 – 7,217 yards
Designed by Tom Fazio

When acclaimed golf designer Tom Fazio spotted the special appeal of St. Simons Island, he knew the rolling acres were destined to become Frederica Golf Club, now one of the very best golf courses in the Southeast. The Frederica course was built in collaboration with Sir Michael Bonallack; his knowledge of the game, of golf's greatest venues and history with the sport were instrumental in creating this one-of-a-kind course. More than a decade later, the Golden Isles coastal golf course is a treasure boasting expansive greens on pine-harvested terrain. More than 1,100 spectacular live oaks–a signature of South Georgia’s beautiful landscape–frame the edges of the course, offering plenty of intriguing setups for thoughtful golfers.

Optional clay target shooting

Clay target shooting will be offered the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Sea Island Shooting School.  The outing will be a one-hour overview of gun safety, equipment and shooting techniques beginning at 10 a.m.

If you wish to participate, you must register. You will not be added to the list without registration.

Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Should all spots be filled, you will receive a waitlist notification email. Spots will be filled as they become available.
