Summary of Experience
Sara Webber Laczo is the principal responsible for corporate communications at RSM US LLP (RSM). She plans and directs the firm’s overall communications strategy including internal communications, executive communications, public relations, thought leadership, public affairs and corporate social responsibility.
Sara’s team develops and executes engaging, stakeholder-focused communications to support the RSM brand and business strategies―driving positive firm reputation and business results while ensuring integration across various channels and stakeholder groups. During her ten years with the firm, Sara has played a leadership role in two brand launches; the development and communication of a new vision, purpose, values and strategy; and the creation of the firm’s corporate social responsibility strategy, including the launch of the RSM US Foundation. She has led communications on more than 19 transactions and increased positive mentions of the firm in the media. Sara also led the development of RSM’s thought leadership program and chairs the firm’s thought leadership steering committee, which oversees research done through the RSM US Middle Market Leadership Council (a panel of 700 middle market executives managed by Nielsen) and the RSM US Middle Market Business Index, a first-of-its-kind index developed in partnership with Moody’s Analytics.
Prior to joining RSM, Sara completed her Master of Science degree in integrated marketing communications at Northwestern University. She spent her graduate residency at Motorola developing internal and external campaigns to help position its technology organization as an innovation leader. Sara also spent five years with Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, a U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory specializing in high energy physics, where she led the editorial function for an international particle accelerator conference series, as well as various employee training and development initiatives and internal communications for the laboratory’s human resources team.
