CDI experience

Kerensa is the national leader of RSM’s Pride employee network group (ENG), which supports RSM’s LGBT+ employees, clients and allies through recruitment, retention and business activity alignment with LGBT+ organizations. A long-time supporter of the firm’s culture, diversity and inclusion program, she served as Florida’s inaugural chair of the firm’s Pride ENG from 2015-18 and has led the group nationally since 2018. She regularly collaborates with the firm’s other 11 ENGs on programs benefitting RSM’s employees as well as our clients and communities. Active in her local professional and philanthropic communities, she is a member of the Associate for Corporate Growth’s South Florida chapter, as well as a co-founder of its Women’s Committee. She served on the board of Compass, Inc., a non-profit LGBT+ community organization, for over 12 years and is a graduate of the Leadership Palm Beach program.

Summary of experience

As a member of RSM’s national private equity leadership team since 2006, Kerensa guides our strategic efforts across the Southeast region to serve private equity groups and their portfolio companies within a holistic client experience model. She is the executive sponsor of the firm’s intention to engage more women in the private equity marketplace. Kerensa has served private equity groups and their portfolio companies for more than 25 years. In addition to providing audit, tax, accounting and related consulting services, she is a firm wide expert in business combinations.

Pride employee network group

Pride works to enhance understanding of issues faced in the workplace by LGBT+ employees and finds avenues to model “bringing your whole self to work.” The network sponsors activities throughout the year that are open to all, and its Pride Month event provides opportunities for employees and RSM leaders to share their coming out stories. Pride also supports recruiting and hiring efforts by working with LGBT+ groups on university campuses and professional organizations.
