From working in IT to finance to internal and external audits, she embraced every opportunity to learn and grow. Her career took a defining turn when she transitioned into human resources and later employee relations where she played a key role in streamlining the firm’s employee classification process, collaborating across departments to create a more efficient and compliant system.
Tricia’s story exemplifies the power of curiosity and courage. “Don’t be afraid to try something new,” she advises. “What worked yesterday doesn’t always work tomorrow. Be open, listen and bring a spirit of collaboration.” These attributes are aligned with RSM's core values known as the 5 C's. By embodying these principles, Tricia has not only thrived professionally but also created a lasting legacy within the firm, spanning over 30 years. She was inducted into the RSM Hall of Fame in 2019.
Since retiring, Tricia has continued to embrace a life of service. She and her husband lead worship at their church and she’s deeply involved with Neighbor Up, a nonprofit supporting at-risk communities through after-school programs and affordable housing. Whether connecting volunteers or organizing cooking classes, Tricia remains a catalyst for positive change.
However, Tricia’s journey hasn't been without personal battles. Shortly after retiring, she was diagnosed with ALS. Despite the uncertainty, she remains grounded in her faith and committed to living with purpose. “I still want to contribute,” she says. “To be a light for others, to bring joy and to show that even in the hardest moments, we are not alone.”
In her continued efforts to make a positive impact, Tricia has launched a fundraising campaign to support ALS research and patient care. By raising awareness and funds, she hopes to contribute to finding a cure and improving the lives of those affected by the disease. You can join Tricia in her mission and make a difference by donating to the ALS Association.
Tricia’s story is a powerful reminder of the value of community and strength in relationships. “You never know where one introduction might lead,” she says. “Whether it’s a passion project or a new opportunity, staying connected matters.”
