Welcome (virtually) to the 2020 RSM Classic!
A message from Davis Love III – Team RSM Member, PGA TOUR Professional and resident of Sea Island, GA – home of the RSM Classic
While I can’t welcome you to my home of Sea Island for The RSM Classic as I normally do given restrictions related to the pandemic, I do hope you’ll join me virtually for this year’s tournament by tuning in to the Golf Channel Thurs., Nov. 18 through Sun., Nov. 22 and/or by joining some of the special online activities that will be available for fans this year.
For 11 years now, The RSM Classic has been providing golf fans with a unique opportunity to “get up close and personal” with some of the PGA Tour’s best players. The breathtaking scenery, world-class accommodations and unparalleled customer care at Sea Island combine to make visitors feel like they’re “coming home” when they visit the island – even if they’re visiting for the very first time. And while we’ll miss the on-the-ground visitors this year, we’re looking forward to showcasing the island, the courses and some great golf virtually, with the hope of convening again in-person next year.
One aspect of the tournament that will remain unchanged this year is its focus on stewardship – it’s a value that title sponsor RSM US LLP and I share, and it’s a tradition we’ll continue with the 2020 RSM Classic. We’re looking forward to once again supporting local and national charitable organizations focused on enhancing the lives of children and families through this year’s event, and to sharing details about our philanthropic efforts during tournament week. If you’d like to learn more about Birdies Fore Love, the tournament’s philanthropic program, and how you can help those in need, you can do that here.
So, welcome (virtually) to Sea Island, and The RSM Classic. I’m looking forward to some great golf and to supporting our community, particularly during these unprecedented times.
