Patrick Doyle is a senior manager of state and local tax at RSM US LLP. He is based in the New York office. His career has been focused on building high-performing teams and technology solutions to better serve clients. Patrick joined RSM in 2020.
A licensed attorney, Patrick has extensive knowledge and more than 15 years of experience in public accounting. A state and local tax specialist, his industry focus has been on financial services, asset management and real estate throughout his career. Patrick’s strength is in building effective teams and practices, which he has also done in his previous roles at Big Four firms.
Patrick was responsible for helping establish the SALT asset management group. This experience helped him understand the importance of team-building to client success. He also spent two years establishing a SALT practice in the Puerto Rico office of a Big Four firm, which he helped grow from 18 to 106 people. Patrick is currently involved in building out the RSM Delivery Center in India to help support the U.S. team.
An innovative thinker, Patrick leverages his knowledge of technology solutions to find more efficient ways for clients and colleagues to achieve success. He is heavily involved with the technology team in finding new ways to bring better ideas to clients.
Patrick is passionate about training and development within the firm. He offers mentoring and coaching to help guide the next generation of RSM professionals—and he finds it rewarding to watch their careers grow through their contributions and promotions within the organization. He was awarded outstanding coach of the year in the tax area at a previous firm.
Patrick participates in RSM volunteer days to help provide lunches for food pantries, and he has held several leadership roles in culture, diversity and inclusion efforts throughout his career. His desire to be a voice for marginalized populations dates back to college when he was part of his campus diversity club, and he looks forward to becoming more engaged with RSM’s CDI initiative.
