About Michele

Michele Juliana is a principal in the business applications practice at RSM US LLP and serves as the firm’s national consulting industry leader for nonprofit organizations. Michele has more than 20 years of experience in systems implementations, including business process review, discovery and project management for many types of organizations, in both the private and public sector.   


Experience

Michele works closely with a wide variety of nonprofits and private sector companies to optimize the use of technology to manage their organizations. She leverages her deep experience with the firm’s business applications to assist clients with system design and project management. Michele is a member of RSM’s national nonprofit industry team, representing consulting in developing and executing national initiatives to support this client base. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and virtual events, particularly on topics related to technology trends and nonprofit industry issues.  

Michele has deep experience working with business applications (enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management systems), including Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite and Intacct, across a variety of industries. She has been actively involved in dozens of technology implementations for nonprofits, including social services, associations, foundations, behavioral health, senior living, and city and county government. Her broad perspective provides value in determining the best approach for clients, and in connecting them with the best RSM professionals to ensure client success.  

In her 20 years at RSM, Michele has held a variety of leadership roles focused on growth, working with both new and existing clients across a variety of solutions and service lines. She started her career in corporate banking for middle market companies prior to earning a master's degree in educational administration with a concentration in school business administration. She has experience working with a variety of educational institutions in a fiscal management capacity. 

Within the firm, Michele is motivated to help grow the next generation of leaders through recruiting, training and mentorship. She is actively involved in STAR, the firm’s employee network group that champions women at the firm, and the Women's Advisory Council, in which she facilitates leadership workshops. She serves as a culture, diversity and inclusion mentor and is gratified by her role as a mentor within the firm, both formally and informally. 

Michele is active in her community, serving on the boards of several nonprofits in the behavioral health sector. Outside the firm, Michele is an experienced marathon runner and triathlete who enjoys sharing the life benefits of sports with local youth.
