About Michael

Based in the United States, Michael is the national leader of the RSM US LLP’s transaction advisory services practice, which consists of more than 700 individuals in North America and India who perform Financial, IT, Cyber, HR and Value Creation Due Diligence as well as Deal Analytics and M&A Tax. This team performs work primarily with private equity groups and strategic acquirers on both the buy and sell side of transactions in the middle market. During his 20 years of M&A experience, Michael has advised on more than $10 billion of enterprise value and more than 700 transactions in the middle market.

RSM’s transaction advisory services practice has represented buyers and sellers on over 3,000 middle market transactions during the last four years, covering a wide range of industries. Michael has extensive experience in many industries, including manufacturing and distribution, retail, consumer products, software and technology, restaurants, and business services.


Experience

Over the past five years, Michael has helped coordinate more than 150 transactions in the middle market, worth over $5 billion, with a particular focus on the consumer products sector, as well as business services and software/technology. His services include financial, buy- and sell-side tax and information technology due diligence, financial projections and cash flow modeling, annual and strategic business planning, profitability enhancements, and business performance analytics reviews.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael spent five years in the transaction services group of a Big Four firm. He served on both the buy and sell side of transactions for private equity firms, strategic buyers, and companies involved in divestitures. Earlier in his career, he worked in the profitability enhancement group (corporate finance) at a large corporation.
