Matt Kramer has more than 15 years of experience in commercial lending and credit risk consulting. At RSM, he provides risk management consulting services for financial institutions of all sizes. Matt’s technical knowledge includes all aspects of banking, commercial loan underwriting, credit policies and procedures, financial statement analysis, state and federal banking regulations, appraisals and loan documentation.
Matt has experience in all types of commercial lending, including commercial and industrial, commercial real estate, leveraged lending, leasing, shared national credit, government-backed lending programs, alternative lending, agricultural lending, project finance, and consumer and retail lending. Prior to joining RSM, Matt worked as a relationship manager for a super-regional U.S. bank. In that position, he was the account officer and manager of an assigned portfolio of commercial loans, responsible for all client interactions, negotiations, problem solving, loan structuring and analysis. Matt approved loans within specified approval limits and referred loan packages outside of those limits to management. Prior to that role, Matt served as an assistant relationship manager and prepared all loan approval requests and was accountable for identifying and mitigating the risk factors associated with each. He was responsible for all aspects of the portfolio management function, including requesting updated financial information, managing the portfolio tracking system and completing annual credit reviews.
Matt has significant experience providing credit administration-related risk management services, including enhancements to policies, processes and procedures, and extensive experience providing merger and acquisition-related procedures.
