Mark Schneider has more than 30 years of experience in the corporate tax space and is senior director of RSM US LLP's Washington National Tax office. He assists clients in navigating challenges and opportunities in an ever-changing business landscape, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and corporate tax, including divestitures, consolidated return taxation and bankruptcy restructurings.
Mark previously worked for the IRS Office of Chief Counsel as well as other international accounting firms. While at the IRS, he served as deputy associate chief counsel (corporate) and later as a special counsel, reviewing regulations and rulings relating to corporate tax and the consolidated return regulations, as well as advising on controversy matters. Mark has been a frequent panelist at corporate-tax programs sponsored by the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association and the Practising Law Institute.
