Kevin Prien is a partner and member of RSM US LLP’s markets advisory team and operations team, responsible for contributions to strategy execution, growth, culture and firm operations.

Kevin has more than 37 years of experience with RSM. Trained as an assurance professional, he has been in management roles for the past 20 years. He has extensive experience advising clients, primarily in the manufacturing and wholesale distribution sectors. His specialties include financing issues, product costing, inventory management, and transition planning.

Kevin was formerly the Central region market leader and the assurance practice leader for the Central and West regions. In those roles, he took pride in training and developing talented professionals to succeed and achieve their goals. He has coached dozens of RSM colleagues who have become partners and business leaders of the firm.

Kevin is active in RSM’s STAR employee network group, which advocates for women’s leadership in the workplace. A graduate of Iowa State University, he is actively involved with ISU’s Ivy College of Business on the Dean’s Advisory Council. A love of accounting runs deep in the Prien family—his wife and sons are also certified public accountants.
