As RSM’s Florida market leader, Kathy is responsible for strategy execution, including driving growth aligned to strategic priorities, stewardship and connections to our community, a consistent culture, talent and client experience across nine locations. Kathy is a natural builder and broker who greatly appreciates bringing stakeholders together to achieve a shared vision. As a market leader, Kathy aligns systems, processes and talent to drive the convergence of industry, solutions and relationships, bringing the full breadth of the firm to our clients. Kathy is also responsible for developing Florida’s location strategy, including start-up locations, acquisitions, mergers and relocations. Under her leadership, RSM’s Florida market has quadrupled in size.
Kathy began her professional career in 1988 and joined RSM in 2005 through a merger. Kathy has served in various leadership roles throughout her career, including Melbourne, Florida’s office leader; Florida consulting leader; acquisition, due diligence and compliance leader, a member of the national operations team and Southeast market leader. She served clients across all three lines of businesses before turning her focus to delivering risk advisory solutions to global commercial companies and clients in the public sector. Kathy was also instrumental in developing RSM’s initial national risk advisory programs and led the start-up and development of a consulting practice in Florida.
Kathy is passionate about developing RSM talent and gains significant energy in helping colleagues achieve their dreams. Her diverse experience has afforded her rich opportunities and a deep appreciation for varying perspectives. With that passion and diverse background, she avidly supports RSM’s culture, diversity and inclusion programs. Kathy utilizes her genuine care and curiosity to truly understand the desires and purpose of those she coaches to help them navigate their career goals.
As a lifelong Floridian, she enjoys being on the water boating with her husband, James, gardening, and the culinary arts. She is passionate about stewardship within the local communities, reflected in over $3 million and countless volunteer hours contributed to Florida communities over the last 10 years. She currently serves on the Florida Chamber Board of Directors and was recognized by Florida Trend as one of “Florida’s 500 Most Influential Business Leaders.”
