Karin oversees RSM US LLP’s global delivery service under the global compliance and reporting services (GCRS) approach, which is based upon a centralized coordination framework as it relates to global tax, audit or other financial compliance for large and complex multinationals.
Karin focuses on the centralization, standardization and optimization of statutory accounting and audit processes. She has significant merger and acquisition (M&A) experience, having performed financial due diligence for UK and Australian companies and M&A integration projects of various complexity. For the firm, she implemented a Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Center of Excellence for statutory reporting.
Karin acted as the global process owner of statutory accounting, responsible for oversight of the global external financial reporting compliance effort for a Fortune 50 company in agribusiness (more than 200 legal entities in 50 jurisdictions).
She is often brought in to discuss a client’s specific needs and concerns as a focused GCRS advisor, sharing her first-hand experience as a former client of RSM’s GCRS offering.
Karin also has extensive international experience in public accounting and tax audits, and she has lived in the U.S., the UK and the Netherlands.
