Jim Clarahan is a partner with RSM US LLP who focuses on helping internationally active companies manage the complexities of their global compliance and reporting challenges. He leads a multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals who provide international management, delivering statutory audit and accounting services, direct and indirect tax compliance services, and outsourced financial accounting services to firms ranging from the small end of the middle market to Fortune 100 companies.
Jim draws from more than 40 years of experience to bring informed perspectives and insights to tackle business challenges. He helps clients address complex leadership, management and organizational issues that are critical to their success. He specializes in strategic planning, conflict management, ownership and management succession, meeting and retreat facilitation, project management, business development and transaction negotiations.
Jim co-founded the RSM Alliance in 1988, creating one of the premier associations of CPA firms in the United States and serving as its co-leader until 1999. From 1999 to 2003, Jim led RSM’s internal mergers and acquisitions team, facilitating nearly 30 transactions and doubling the size of the firm from 3,000 to over 6,000 employees, with over 20 new locations.
