Erin specializes in conducting risk assessments for organizations to identify gaps in the control environment and performing continuous audit techniques such as journal entry testing, disbursements testing and distribution center audits. Erin has experience working for Big Four firms, where she conducted external audits across multiple functions and disciplines within the consumer products industry. She also worked as a financial reporting accountant with the city of Charlotte. She is highly knowledgeable in SOX and tests the design and operating effectiveness of SOX controls, leads demonstrations with control owners, and creates high and low-level process documentation.
Erin co-leads RSM’s African American and Canadian Excellence (AACE) employee network group (ENG) in North Carolina. The ENG focuses on furthering RSM’s business, diversity and inclusion objectives by actively supporting the recruitment, development and retention of talented Black and African American professionals and other minorities. In 2022, Erin was inducted into AACE’s Emerging Leader program. The program is designed for high-performing senior associates and supervisors who are members of AACE to develop their leadership skills, build their confidence and expand their circles of influence as they grow in their careers.
