As assurance leader for the Los Angeles office, Darcy serves as the relationship lead for private global companies across various industries, including media and entertainment, aerospace and defense, logistics, business and professional services, and consumer products. Working primarily with private equity-owned companies, her specialties include mergers and acquisitions, purchase accounting, share-based compensation, warrants and options, and debt restructuring.
In addition to her role on the RSM board, she is a member of the firm’s client experience national advisory group, charged with leading the firm’s first-choice advisor journey. She helps engagement teams build strong client relationships based on a deep understanding of client issues to deliver value through relevant insights and ideas. Darcy is passionate about bringing the RSM client experience to life by showing up as a first-choice advisor who models the firm’s five characteristics (5 C’s) of being a first-choice advisor—caring, curious, collaborative, courageous and critical thinking. Her favorite of these 5 C’s is caring—both for her clients and her colleagues. She serves as a mentor for the next generation of leaders at RSM to share her appreciation for the caring culture she has found at the firm. She attributes her success as a working mom to the opportunities RSM provides for each employee to be authentic and vulnerable in a culture built on trust.
Darcy is the national sponsor and West region executive sponsor of the African American and Canadian Excellence (AACE) and in the national partner advisory council of the Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Advancement (¡HOLA!) employee network groups focused on furthering RSM’s business, diversity and inclusion objectives by actively supporting the recruitment, development and retention of talented Black and Hispanic professionals and other minorities. Prior to her current role, Darcy served as RSM’s national leader for the media and entertainment industry. She also served as the West region business and professional services leader and the West region industrial products co-leader. Darcy was named one of the Association of Latino Professionals for America’s (ALPFA’s) Most Powerful Latinas (MPLs) in 2021 and again in 2022 for being a powerful and influential Latina trailblazer in business, entrepreneurship and civic engagement.
Outside of RSM, you can find Darcy on the tennis court. She enjoys the mental battle of competitive tennis that, in many ways, parallels her work life in the need to problem solve and focus on what’s ahead. She doesn’t dwell on mistakes; her mindset is to always learn and be mindful of what’s next to try to improve.
