As the culture of inclusion leader for the firm, Dan is responsible for promoting a welcoming environment where all people are empowered to be their best selves. Working with leaders and colleagues across the firm, he works to increase collaboration, innovation and ultimately drive business results, enhancing both the talent experience for our people and the client experience.
Daniel began his professional career as an executive recruiter, primarily focused on permanent placement for experienced accounting and financial professionals for Fortune 500 companies. He joined RSM in 2004, where he developed an external client recruitment practice for the firm. He then redirected his career into internal experienced hire recruitment focused on the firm’s primary lines of business—assurance, tax and consulting services. Daniel progressed through several roles with increasing responsibility, including campus recruitment, human resources and learning and development leadership.
In addition to his various roles at RSM, Daniel has been an instructor for several of the firm's training conferences. He is a former leader of the firm’s, which fosters a culture of respect and understanding among the multiple generations that coexist within our firm, our clients and our communities. He was also participated in the CEO Action for Racial Equity fellowship, a business-led coalition. Dan also teaches as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland’s business school. He is committed to community service engagement and has led several RSM-related events at the Maryland Food Bank, including initiating the “Take a Bite out of Hunger” annual giving day. Daniel has received numerous recognitions for his efforts, including RSM’s National Achievement Award for his community service activities and involvement and the national Career Advisor of the Year award.
