About Dan

Dan Ginsburg serves as RSM US LLP’s national public affairs leader. He is responsible for the firm’s public policy activities and oversees public relations, crisis and issues management, and environmental, social and governance communications. Dan has more than 25 years of experience in corporate communications and public affairs, providing breakthrough communications that inspire action and deliver results.


Experience

As national leader of public affairs, Dan is responsible for telling RSM’s story and bringing the firm’s middle market perspective to policymakers and other influencers. A recognized figure in public policy circles in Washington, D.C., Dan manages relationships with key national organizations on Capitol Hill and exchanges insights and information with policymakers on issues that affect RSM’s clients.

Dan also helps clients understand and address the most critical policy issues affecting their businesses and keeps them informed about policy developments on Capitol Hill. Within the firm, Dan helps equip RSM professionals with the tools to communicate with clients about policies that affect their businesses. He empowers people to have better and more informed conversations with clients through a variety of internal and external communications. Dan serves as host of the firm’s Tax Policy Now video series, which provides tax policy updates from members of the RSM’s tax team.

Before joining RSM, Dan gained his unique blend of skills in public and private sector communications through positions at prominent public relations firms Porter Novelli and Environics Communications; 10 years in communications leadership roles at a Big Four professional services firm leading corporate communications; as chief speechwriter to the governor of Rhode Island; and as a congressional assistant on Capitol Hill.

Dan frequently speaks at communications and policy industry events and is quoted in prominent publications, and is a former vice president of the Fairfield County Public Relations Association.

Outside of work, Dan works with several local volunteer and youth sports organizations, and  enjoys playing tennis, paddle and basketball whenever he can.
