Chelsey joined RSM in 2011, she delivers advice and consultation regarding a wide variety of issues emerging from the research and development (R&D) tax credit, energy credits, and other related tax incentives. Chelsey focuses on performing tax credit studies for a variety of industries, including manufacturing, food processing, and energy and renewable fuels. Chelsey also manages Internal Revenue Service examination defense, strategy formulation and witness preparation.
Chelsey has worked on a wide array of projects in many different areas, including tax planning and compliance for manufacturing and distribution entities, including focus on the renewable fuels and food processing industries, and federal tax credits and incentives for a variety of industries. Specifically, Chelsey and her team helped pioneer the availability and maximization of various federal tax credits available to renewable fuel producers, including the R&D tax credit and the second generation biofuel producer credit.
