Genie Lim is a resource management director at RSM US LLP, where she leads the audit resource management function for the firm’s public sector service line. She is based in Orlando, Florida.
Genie also leads RSM’s Family First employee network group (ENG), working to support caregivers firmwide. A mother of two, Genie values the support she’s received at RSM and is committed to helping others balance work and family.
Genie began her career in audit, working for seven years in client service before transitioning into resource management. Over the past 17 years, she has played a key role in aligning RSM’s people strategy with client needs, helping to ensure the right teams are in place to deliver high-quality service across the firm. In her current role, Genie is responsible for leading and optimizing resource deployment for the public sector, with a focus on workforce planning, capacity management and career development for audit professionals.
A longtime advocate for inclusion at RSM, Genie has been involved with ENGs since the program’s inception. While she has supported several ENGs as both a member and an ally, she has been especially active in Family First. She began her leadership journey as a local office lead in Orlando and expanded to state and regional leadership roles, ultimately serving as operations leader for Family First. Through each of these roles, Genie has helped strengthen collaboration and communication across the firm’s offices, ensuring Family First remains a meaningful support system for caregivers and working families.
