Through our partnership with Hiring Our Heroes, we attend multiple hiring events, both in-person and virtual, professional development speaking engagements and fully funded 12-week fellowship program that connects military spouses and veterans with hands-on experience at RSM. Fellows receive professional development and mentorship, helping to build strong career foundations.
RSM supports SVA in its mission to empower student veterans in higher education. By aligning with SVA’s robust network and resources, we help veterans navigate their academic and career journeys with confidence.
We are honored to support Wreaths Across America in its year-round mission to remember, honor and teach. Beyond the annual wreath-laying ceremonies, we engage with this organization to demonstrate our ongoing gratitude to veterans and their families.
Through our partnership with Folds of Honor, RSM helps provide scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled military heroes. This support furthers educational access and honors the legacy of those who have served.
MSSA is a comprehensive, 17-week, full-time technical training program designed to prepare transitioning service members, veterans and eligible military spouses for high-demand careers. Participants choose from three in-demand learning paths:
- Cybersecurity operations
- Cloud application development
- Server and cloud administration
The program features hands-on labs, real-world scenarios and prepares students for industry-recognized certifications—equipping them with the skills and credentials needed to succeed in today's technology-driven workforce.

During my time in the Marines, I was fortunate to be surrounded by exceptional individuals who exemplified our core values of honor, courage and commitment. When entering the professional services world, I sought out a firm that valued my diverse experience and held similar core values – I found that at RSM. Now as an owner of the firm, I’ve had the opportunity to be heavily involved in VALOR, our Veteran-focused employee network group, and am proud of the significant strides RSM has made in attracting, hiring and retaining veterans, veteran spouses and dependents.
As an active reserve military member, I feel incredibly fortunate to work for RSM, a firm that has consistently supported me through several deployments and the transition back to civilian life. Although I was unable to meet with RSM during the job fair, I was pleasantly surprised when Michael Mulcahy reached out to me afterwards and scheduled an interview. When my medical disqualification interrupted my goal to be a pilot, I was able to connect with RSM through their efforts to recruit in the military and military-affiliated community. Now, after six years with the firm, I am incredibly proud to support and lead efforts to attract, hire and retain veterans, veteran spouses and their dependents. Our community builds one another up and truly embodies the concepts of Ut Prosim (that I may serve), in my experience, through Wreath Laying at Arlington Cemetery, veteran hiring fairs at local military bases or sharing a meal and welcoming one of our newest transitioning vets into the firm. VALOR has been a consistent part of my career and pivotal in my personal and professional growth while helping me dynamically develop my network across industries and around the globe. I couldn’t be prouder to be a small part of such an impressive team and help others grow forward at RSM.
Nine years ago, I began my journey with RSM US after moving from Wasilla, Alaska, to Marlton, New Jersey. Each move came with the challenge of finding a new job and settling my girls into new schools. In 2018, we moved to San Antonio, Texas, where I experienced the unmatched support and flexibility from my leadership, allowing me to continue my career seamlessly. VALOR has been my anchor in actively supporting our military community, their families and allies. I am fortunate to have grown my career and expanded my network while sharing my experiences through recruitment and onboarding.
