RSM US Volunteer Day
Serving together in our communities
Since 2010, RSM employees have taken time away from the office to help others through a coordinated firm-wide Volunteer Day. While RSM’s people regularly give back to their local communities, RSM Volunteer Day represents part of our firm’s commitment to the communities where our people work and live.
In 2017, more than 3,100 RSM employees and clients participated in 170 volunteer events across the country. More than 100 charities benefited, including Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity, Second Harvest Food Bank, Project Sunshine and Junior Achievement. Employees and clients boxed food donations, read to children, sorted and inspected donated clothing, distributed food, packaged meals for children, built garden beds, landscaped yards for schools, parks, shelters and nonprofits, and participated in many other activities to help those in need.
RSM offices that select local charities aligned with the RSM US Foundation mission are able to enhance their gifts of service with donations from the RSM US Foundation’s Dollars for Doers program. In 2017, Dollars for Doers provided matching grants totaling $100,000 for 73 qualifying charitable organizations.
