RSM US Foundation

The Power of Love is RSM’s annual stewardship campaign, where each office selects a local youth-focused charity to support with fundraising and volunteering opportunities. Offices host various fun events to encourage support from our people, family and friends, as well as team volunteering opportunities to maximize our impact on local communities. We amplify those efforts with an additional match from the RSM US Foundation, and the total impact is announced at The RSM Classic each November.

The Dollars for Doers program supports our people’s passions by magnifying their gifts of time to charitable organizations that support youth in their communities. Individual employees can earn up to a $3,200 grant each. Groups of RSM volunteers have limitless grant-earning potential; the more hours volunteered, the more grant dollars earned.

Since the program’s 2015 inception, our professionals have volunteered more than 356,000 hours with charities that align with our mission.

Launched in 2022, the Community Impact Fund was created to enhance the stewardship efforts of our passionate owners and employees by matching team fundraising efforts and by amplifying relationships with qualifying local charities through one-time grants. This application-based program boosts our commitment to our people by supporting charities that mean the most to them.

Since 2019, the RSM US Foundation has maintained a national relationship with Junior Achievement USA to expand volunteerism, financial support and access to high-quality learning experiences that help students build confidence in financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship.

A cornerstone of this relationship is RSM’s support for the JA Take Stock in Your Future curriculum and the JA Stock Market Challenge student competition, totaling more than $3.65 million to date. The classroom curriculum introduces high school students to foundational investing concepts, how the stock market works and how current events can affect market performance. Students then apply what they learn through the JA Stock Market Challenge competition, a fast-paced simulation that gives them hands-on experience making investment decisions in a fictional marketplace.

Beyond national program support, RSM professionals help extend this impact to our communities by funding local JA initiatives, volunteering with students and serving on JA chapter boards across the U.S. and Canada. Together, the Foundation’s grantmaking and our people’s volunteer engagement and board service help equip youth with the confidence, skills and real-world perspective to navigate their futures.

Recognizing that many disadvantaged youth face an uncertain future, RSM expanded its longtime support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) by investing in BGCA’s Workforce Readiness program. The program sets high school students up for success in the workforce through essential skill development and financial literacy workshops, career exploration, mentoring and work-based learning opportunities. With local chapter activation in 8 cities around the U.S., RSM volunteers are equipping students with the skills they need to become tomorrow’s middle market leaders.

Our value of stewardship calls for us to support the next generation of business and technology professionals by backing U.S. and Canadian colleges and universities. We do this through our University Match program, University Impact Fund and scholarships.

University Match

The University Match program, including personal donations from our people and a match from the foundation, has infused nearly $4 million into schools in the areas where our people live and work. The program has created longstanding funding to ensure students and faculty have the financial support needed to excel.

University Impact Fund

The University Impact Fund provides one-time grants to colleges and universities that influence communities where our people live and work. Funding supports programs and initiatives that build tomorrow's leaders. Since its inception in early 2020, the program has supported more than 120 initiatives across the U.S. and Canada.

We are honored to support business and technology students across the U.S. and Canada by alleviating the financial burden of funding their educations so they can focus on achieving their goals—in school and beyond.

Our University Scholarship program helps build tomorrow’s middle market leaders through one-time campus-based awards that support business and technology students. Each college and university selects and awards winning students on behalf of the RSM US Foundation. Since 2019, we’ve helped more than 600 students pursue their degrees.

In addition to our University Scholarship program, each year the RSM US Foundation awards students with scholarships as they pursue a bachelor’s degree in business or technology. These scholarships underscore RSM’s commitment to empowering the next generation of business and technology leaders through education and leadership development.

We are committed to supporting our people affected by federally declared disasters. Our Disaster Relief Fund directly supports our employees to help alleviate the unexpected financial burden caused by disastrous events outside their control.

We proudly support the American Red Cross with an annual contribution toward their domestic and international disaster planning and preparedness programming. This pre-investment in disaster planning and preparedness ensures tens of thousands of Red Cross workers — 90% of whom are volunteers — have the know-how, equipment and technology to turn heartbreak into hope and stand with disaster survivors as they rebuild their lives. Advance support also enables the Red Cross to provide people and communities with the knowledge and resources they need to face emergencies of all kinds, before they happen.
