Larry Keyler is a partner and the global automotive leader for RSM US LLP. He leads the firm’s tax function for industrials and is also the office managing partner for RSM’s Pittsburgh office, which he helped open in 2021. Larry has more than 39 years of public accounting experience. He joined RSM in 2011.
Larry is a senior SEC tax partner focused on large global public companies. He primarily works in industrials and manufacturing, specifically within the automotive sector. As RSM’s global automotive leader, Larry works with RSM’s global office and the firm’s worldwide automotive teams in Asia Pacific, Europe and South America. Larry drives thought leadership efforts to help clients and colleagues understand trends and innovations in the industry, including developments around electric vehicles, global supply chain and remote workforces.
Larry has served as RSM’s office managing partner in several key geographies, including Indianapolis, Detroit and currently Pittsburgh. His role opening offices in new markets requires an intentional strategic focus on developing key relationships with business organizations that are relevant to the firm.
As leader of the tax function for industrials, Larry works with the industrials team to execute RSM’s industry-first strategy. In his leadership roles, Larry’s client service is limited to tax engagements involving a small number of multibillion-dollar public companies with a global footprint. Prior to joining RSM, Larry had a 30-year career in a Big Four public accounting firm, where he held various leadership positions.
Larry is a trusted advisor who embraces the opportunity to solve problems. His focus on building relationships has helped drive his power of understanding clients and colleagues to deliver solutions. He has had a specific focus during his career on developing people, and he is proud of the 14 people who have achieved partner with his guidance. Larry has spent much of his career working to diversify the accounting industry. Within RSM, he is heavily involved in the STAR employee network group that advances the careers of women professionals, and he is active in other groups that champion the advancement of ethnic minorities.
Outside of RSM, Larry has focused his charitable work on the health of people and children.
