About Adam

Adam DePanfilis is a director of RSM US LLP's fund administration practice (RSM Fund Services+). He is responsible for developing strategy, assisting clients with business initiatives and driving operational efficiency. He brings over 20 years of direct asset management experience having served the industry in varying capacities both as a member of C-suite teams at asset management firms as well as a vendor consultant to funds.

Experience

Adam has a diverse background in alternative investments dating back to 2001. He started his career performing investment and operational due diligence on alternative investment firms for a large multinational investment banking firm. Adam then spent over a decade holding various middle and back-office titles for a multibillion-dollar, multistrategy hedge fund while assisting with the optimization of various infrastructure groups including investor relations, data and entity management, accounting, and operations as well as opportunistically launching new strategy funds. He later spent over five years at a Big Four firm as a consultant for alternative investment clients specializing in operational efficiency and risk mitigation. Most recently, Adam was the chief operating officer and chief compliance officer for a middle market fund. In that role, he was responsible for human resources and office management, marketing and investor relations, IT, legal and compliance, accounting, operations, and vendor selection.

Adam joined RSM to pursue his passion for identifying and solving problems for his clients. He seeks to enable his clients so they can make confident decisions.

While Adam enjoys the focus that golf requires, he spends most of his personal time with his family. Adam and his wife are raising two children in the same town in which their families have spent four generations living and giving back to the community.
