RSM Establishes Peter A.S. Pfeiffer Scholarship for Courage with Folds of Honor

RSM US LLP (“RSM”) – the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – was pleased to present a check for $150,000 to establish the Peter A.S. Pfeiffer Scholarship for Courage with Folds of Honor on the 18th green at The RSM Classic during the Folds of Honor Million Dollar Challenge.

The scholarship is named in honor of RSM business developer Peter A.S. Pfeiffer – a veteran, the inaugural leader of RSM’s Stars & Stripes employee network group and founder of RSM’s scholarship and mentoring program with Folds of Honor, a national nonprofit organization focused on providing educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members.

Following Pfeiffer’s diagnosis with a rare and terminal cancer earlier this year, RSM worked with Folds of Honor to endow a scholarship in honor of Pfeiffer’s passion for the firm, veterans and their families, and giving back to others. RSM partners and employees donated nearly $75,000 to support the scholarship and the RSM US Foundation provided matching funds, for a grand total of $150,000.

“I’m very grateful and appreciative for all the support I’ve received from RSM and my colleagues,” said Pfeiffer. “Your legacy in what you do for others is what you should be known for, and I am honored that so many have come together to fund this scholarship that will benefit families of our veterans for many years to come.”

The Folds of Honor Million Dollar Challenge has become a much-anticipated event at The RSM Classic, and it presented a unique opportunity to publicly honor Pfeiffer and his family.
