Internships at RSM
At RSM, you’ll be valued as an individual while interning with our firm. We recognize your accomplishments and unique potential, and mentor you as a future leader. By working directly with key decision makers—both inside and outside the firm—you’ll move quickly along the learning curve to jump-start your career in accounting or consulting.
Your internship experience
Orientation and training – You will be prepared for your client service role through a combination of formal and informal training.
Hands-on experience – You will have the opportunity to see a variety of clients and work directly with key decision makers and company owners.
Events – From lunch-and-learn workshops to sporting events or community service projects, interns will gather with their peers and co-workers to develop both personally and professionally.
Mentorship and performance management – Interns are paired with both a navigator and a career advisor to help them transition into the role. The navigator is a great peer resource for all the new-hire questions during assimilation to our office. The career advisor will be there to ensure your experience is meeting your goals and that you’re working toward that job offer.
How to apply – Internship recruitment takes place at top colleges and universities across the country. The hiring process can take place six months to a year in advance. Intern candidates should be approximately 12 to 18 months from completing their bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or related field. Candidates who are more than 18 months away from graduating should consider our externship (Pathways) summer program.
