The RSM Classic – It’s about giving back
Jason Wagner, Senior Director – RSM US LLP
Having the opportunity to experience the festivities kicking off The RSM Classic at Sea Island was a wonderful late fall respite. My wife and I were excited to leave the early snow and frigid 6-degree wind-chill weather in Iowa for the warm ocean breezes of Coastal Georgia. The beauty of the resort was striking. From the aged oak trees and tranquil ponds to the quiet garden paths winding their way around the resort, everything was very relaxing.
After arriving Monday, November 12, we enjoyed lunch outside by the ocean at the Southern Tide restaurant. We walked along the beautiful beachfront and enjoyed the peaceful sounds of the Atlantic Ocean. We then checked out the fitness facilities at the Spa and were able to get in a workout using their many cardio and weight machines. Monday night at the welcome reception, Pat and Sandi Cobb from Cedar Rapids Iowa, immediately introduced themselves. Pat had seen me throughout the day wearing Iowa clothing and wanted to say hello to a fellow Iowan. We had a nice conversation about the resort, The RSM Classic, the Birdies for Love program and, of course, Iowa Football!
