What to watch: Fed minutes, new home sales, durable goods
WEEKLY MARKET COMMENTARY |
The minutes of the May 1-2 Federal Reserve (Fed) meeting will be among the most closely watched events in the week ahead. Meanwhile, a series of Fed speakers, including Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic, Philadelphia Fed President Patrick Harker, Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari and capped off on Friday by Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, will hit the rounds this week to amplify Fed messaging around future policy moves. New home sales and durable goods orders round out a relatively light week for macro data.
