Trade developments to dominate week ahead
WEEKLY MARKET COMMENTARY |
While the market remains closely attuned to developments in international trade between the U.S. and China, not to mention ongoing North American Free Trade Agreement developments, last week’s interest rate increase by the Federal Reserve Open Market Committee also has the market quietly eyeing inflation data due this week. On Wednesday, March 28, the third gross domestic product report for the fourth quarter will be released along with the core price index for personal consumption expenditures, which has been trending upward recently. Meanwhile, Thursday, March 29, will offer fresh data on consumption, income and personal savings. The bond market will close at 2 p.m., ET, on Thursday ahead of the Good Friday holiday.
