Markets to digest strong job gains in light data week

After last Friday’s strong March employment report, investors will see a relatively light week of first-tier economic releases. Data to be published this week include factory and durable goods orders, the trade balance, weekly jobless claims, wholesale trade and inventories.
The Federal Reserve will send out seven speakers to address the public, including Chair Janet Yellen who will participate on Thursday in a discussion with former Fed Chairs Ben Bernanke, Alan Greenspan and Paul Volcker.
On a global basis investors will get fresh information on European and U.K. manufacturing conditions, the Canadian trade and employment situation and Chinese manufacturing conditions.
