Investors get a variety of domestic and global economic data to digest
WEEKLY MARKET COMMENTARY |
A large number of top-tier economic data will be released this week, including fresh information on retail sales, inflation, consumer sentiment, regional manufacturing, small business optimism and the household net worth. The Federal Reserve (Fed) will send out three speakers this week to help shape investor expectations. Atlanta Fed President Dennis Lockhart’s address before the National Association of Business Economists will have the most potential to be a market-moving speech.
On the global economic calendar, investors will get new information on Chinese industrial production and retail sales, German industrial production, and European Union employment and U.K. inflation data. There will also be a rate decision by the Bank of England.
