Global investors will get a chance to ponder major policy decisions
Global investors will get a chance to ponder major policy decisions, international manufacturing sentiment data and the U.S. July jobs report this week. Meanwhile, the Bank of England (BOE) policy decision on Thursday figures to be the major market moving event of the week. We expect a rate cut from the BOE and a shift in the bias of the central bank in favor of future action.
Purchasing managers’ sentiment in many European Union member states, China and the U.S. also will be closely watched as investors attempt to divine the pace of global growth. In the U.S., fresh data on household spending, employment, total vehicle sales and consumer credit will round out the week.
