Final tax bill released by conference committee

On December 15, the House and Senate conferees agreed to a final version of the proposed Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TJCA). The text of the proposed legislation was released along with a section-by-section summary which lists the proposals from both bills, and identifies which provisions will be included in the final bill. In a few cases provisions are included in the final bill that were not present in either bill. In addition, the Staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) released its estimate of the budgetary impact of the proposed legislation.
