What makes or breaks a successful health care M&A integration?

Key integration considerations for health care organizations

In our recent webcast, M&A for health care investments: Overcoming risks and realizing value, presenters Matt Wolf, director and senior industry analyst, and Silvia Hidalgo, director, both of RSM’s health care industry practice, provided an overview of the mergers and acquisitions climate in the sector as well as market analysis and emerging opportunities.

Further discussion included key considerations health care organizations should consider to maximize return on investment. Functional areas such as revenue cycle management, IT, cybersecurity and more must be addressed to ensure integration success. In addition, culture fit is important as well among the acquired and acquiring organizations. It’s not just about increasing services, extending the continuum of care or increasing EBITDA. It’s also about making sure there is alignment of values, people practices and vision.

A thoughtful integration process can work for deals of all sizes. Listen below as Silvia outlines key integration considerations.
