Paul Guirovich is a partner and the federal tax service line leader and former chairperson of the board of directors for RSM US LLP.
As national private equity tax services leader with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, Paul ensures that RSM teams deliver the highest level of client service in a seamless, integrated manner that adds value in tax matters critical to funds, their investors and their portfolio companies. He has served as primary advisor to private equity funds focused on multinational investments for more than 18 years. He has deep experience advising companies and institutional investors on tax structuring and considerations for a variety of transactions. He is also relationship lead for several complex clients within the private equity space.
With more than 30 years in public accounting, Paul brings strategic tax planning experience from many industries—including industrials, financial services, technology and business services—to his engagements. He is able to apply his experience in an effective and practical way, drawing on RSM’s many capabilities and connecting those to client success. He mentors the next generation of RSM talent, advising colleagues to keep a holistic and practical perspective on a client’s overall business goals while applying their technical tax knowledge.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Paul is part of the New York office, where he continues his passion for working with middle market companies on a larger scale. He thrives on the energy of New York City, as well as on the relationships with both clients and colleagues that enrich his life. He is instrumental in helping to evolve the accounting industry and the firm in using technology to create the business model of the future.
Paul works closely with several of RSM’s culture, diversity and inclusion leader to advance initiatives throughout the firm and beyond. He is also part of RSM’s Family First employee network group. Through his attendance at firm-sponsored conferences on culture and diversity, he’s made meaningful connections with stakeholders who work to develop strategies for recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce.
Known for his distinctive, deep voice, Paul would likely be in radio or voice-over acting if he weren’t advising companies in his role at RSM.
