About Paul

Paul Guirovich is partner and national private equity tax services leader with RSM US LLP. He is also regional tax leader for the Northeast and chair of the finance committee on the RSM Board of Directors. 


As national private equity tax services leader with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, Paul advises private equity firms on tax technical specifications of their funds and portfolio companies. He ensures that RSM teams are executing on firm strategy to deliver the highest level of client service in a seamless, integrated manner that adds value for clients. He has served as primary advisor to private equity funds focused on multinational investments for more than 15 years. He has deep experience advising companies and institutional investors on tax structuring and considerations for acquisition transactions. As chair of the finance committee of the RSM Board of Directors, he is involved in governance and risk management issues that drive the overall strategy of the firm. He is also relationship lead on several key partnerships within the private equity space. 

With more than 26 years of public accounting experience, Paul brings strategic tax planning experience from many industries, including industrials, financial services, technology and business services to his engagements. He is able to apply his experience in an effective and practical way, drawing on RSM’s many capabilities and connecting those to client success. He assists the next generation of RSM talent to keep a holistic and practical perspective on a client’s overall business goals while applying their technical tax knowledge. 

Born and raised in New Orleans, Paul is part of the New York office where he continues his passion for working with middle market companies on a larger scale. He thrives on the energy that New York City provides, as well as the relationships he’s made with both clients and colleagues that enrich his life. He is instrumental in helping evolve the industry and the firm in using technology to become leaders of the business model of the future.

Paul serves as the partner advisor to the Northeast culture and diversity leader at RSM, working to advance initiatives throughout the firm and beyond. He is also part of RSM’s Family First employee network group. Through his attendance at firm-sponsored conferences on culture and diversity, he’s made meaningful connections with stakeholders who work together to develop strategies to help recruit and retain a diverse workforce. 

Known for his distinctive deep voice, Paul would likely be in radio or voice-over acting if he wasn’t advising companies in his role at RSM.
