Ericka Foster is a managing director and first deputy general counsel at RSM US LLP. As a member of the firm’s executive leadership team, Ericka is a trusted legal advisor who provides key strategic legal guidance to ensure RSM continues to deliver best-in-class service to clients at the highest levels of professional and ethical standards.
Ericka has over 20 years of legal experience as an attorney helping clients navigate complex legal and compliance matters. She joined RSM in 2012 as assistant general counsel and has provided critical guidance to the firm since she joined the legal team. Ericka is responsible for the operations of the general counsel’s office and helps lead a team of experienced attorneys advising on a broad range of firmwide legal matters. Her main responsibilities include providing advice on litigation, counseling, transactional and partnership matters across all RSM’s lines of business. Ericka has been integral in supporting our firm’s global expansion in Canada, El Salvador and India. Additionally, she is a member of the firm’s incident response task force and the crisis management team. Ericka is committed to collaborating with stakeholders across the firm to develop sound business solutions and strategies that reflect the firm’s values and a commitment to ethics and compliance.
Prior to joining RSM, Ericka was an attorney at several international law firms advising a wide range of clients, including large multinational corporations on significant litigation and employment law matters.
Ericka is dedicated to community service and is passionate about supporting community organizations particularly related to early childhood education, food insecurity and local civics.
When she isn’t tackling novel legal issues, Ericka enjoys battling it out on the tennis and platform tennis (paddle) courts. Originally hailing from Wisconsin, she remains a lifelong fan of, in her opinion, the undisputed best sports teams: the Packers, Bucks, Brewers and Badgers.
