About Dana

Dana is a tax partner as RSM and has been with the firm for over 16 years. Dana is the National Leader for the Federal Credits and Incentives practice, and is the Central Region Leader for the Credits, Incentives and Methods group. In her current role, she delivers advice and consultation regarding a wide variety of issues emerging from the research and development (R&D) tax credit, energy credits, and other related tax incentives. Dana specializes in performing tax credit studies for a variety of industries, including manufacturing, food processing, and energy and renewable fuels. Dana also manages Internal Revenue Service examination defense, strategy formulation and witness preparation.


Experience

During her time at RSM, Dana has worked on a wide array of projects in many different areas, including tax planning and compliance for manufacturing and distribution entities, including specialization in the renewable fuels and food processing industries, and federal tax credits and incentives for a variety of industries. Specifically, Dana and her team helped pioneer the availability and maximization of various federal tax credits available to renewable fuel producers, including the R&D tax credit and the second generation biofuel producer credit. Dana is a member of the firm’s Family First and STAR employee network groups. She is a mom to three boys and enjoys spending time with her family at the lake.
